Onda Linda Vibe Wedding In Portugal
The Day Before
The day before, the pre wedding, the rehearsal dinner, the welcome party or whatever you know it by, is where this story starts. Some couples choose to make it a low key event, a few drinks and nibbles in a cosy bar. But not Henrik and Franzi, they are big dreamers and nothing got in their way from making their wedding experience a representation of how they roll, not a global pandemic not even a new addition to the family (you’ll see how adorable she is!)
Set within stone walls of a charming village in Alentejo, Portugal, sits a local family restaurant known for their hearty homemade dishes from recipes passed down from great great grandmothers to be shared with the village and on this day with guests from all over the world.
Sharing food is an experience and when it’s with your people in your place there’s something magical about it. The evening started slow, slow cooked food, chitter chatter, new encounters, sipping wine, hugs from old friends, watching the sun dip behind the olive trees and then turn in for the night.
The blues in the sky deepened as the guests made their way back to the organic luxury farmhouse where they were all staying for the weekend. No way ready to turn in like the old sun, but dance the night away in the old bullring with a private concert by special guest Marvin Jam…

The Wedding Day
What is a wedding if it doesn’t represent you, your vibe and all the things that make your soul dance?
When I was described what Henrik and Franzi were looking for in their wedding celebration, I thought to myself, I would kill for a wedding like this! It went something like this: We envision starting the day with a hike or cycle in nature followed by some breath-works, yoga by our friends and some pottery making with local artisans, a hearty breakfast, poolside lounging, a harmonious ceremony, down to earth dinner and our friends DJ-ing throughout the night - oh and all of this inspired by Burning Man and Onda Linda…I mean talk about the dream wedding.
I needn’t say more, enjoy the ride (and don’t forget to hit play and turn the music up desktop users!)
